I'm pretty happy with how my posters worked out this week, If I were to change something, I think I would work on perfecting the balance of colors and boldness of the type, and I would make the knife look a bit better.
Regarding the booklet, the image above is a quick example of the idea I have. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to change the gradient color for each booklet slightly. The paper I bought for the sun and the title has a very subtle glitter in it, and I think that would be a nice effect to include.
I could also have various designs like above, with different colors. The two top sun designs—which are very rough designs above—I'm not sold on but I think if I do some brainstorming and tweaking, I think I could come up with a good concept.
Since the books I'm selecting aren't available through Gutenberg, I'll either have to type them up myself or find them through a different online resource. Tomorrow I'll be typing them up on a free day when I'm not on campus, and then when I have extra time on campus I'll be cranking out those booklets.
For the title, I think doing a laser cut or something that's precise would be good to cut it out of paper. I decided not to just leave those spaces empty on the paper below the surface as negative space because I wanted more dimension.
I've been thinking about my resume, and I think I'd like to think of some sort of design/logo-like thing for my name. I don't want something that screams that it's a logo, but just a piece of type that when they look at it, they know it's me, even something as simple as a larger J in a special font and color.
